4.3 Features & Highlights
Real Experience Using Eatr・AI Healthy Meal Plan・Diet
Application Scenarios
As someone who juggles a busy lifestyle, I found Eatr to be a game-changer in my daily routine. Mornings are often rushed, and I used to skip breakfast or grab something unhealthy on the go. With Eatr, I set aside 10 minutes every Sunday to plan my meals for the week. I can select options that fit my schedule; for instance, I choose quick recipes for weekdays and more elaborate ones for weekends. On busy mornings, I simply whip up a smoothie from the recipes suggested by the app, ensuring I kickstart my day with nutritious energy.
User Experience
The user interface of Eatr is refreshingly intuitive. Upon launching the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that eases navigation. Setting up my profile was straightforward; I simply entered my dietary preferences, health goals, and allergies. The app's workflow is seamless, guiding me from meal planning to grocery lists without any confusion. Performance-wise, I’ve experienced minimal lag, even when switching between different features. Overall, using Eatr feels less like a chore and more like a culinary adventure; it’s motivating to see how my meal choices positively impact my health journey.
Pricing
Eatr offers a free version with basic features, which is great for anyone looking to explore the app. However, I opted for the premium subscription, which unlocks advanced meal planning options and exclusive recipes. The monthly fee is quite reasonable, especially considering the personalized service and extensive resources available. I believe the investment in my health is worth it, and the premium features have significantly enhanced my user experience.
Updates & Support
The Eatr team is proactive about updates, regularly rolling out new features and recipes based on user feedback. I recently encountered a minor bug, and I was impressed by how quickly their customer support responded. They resolved my issue within 24 hours, and their friendly demeanor made the interaction pleasant. It’s reassuring to know that the developers are committed to improving the app and providing reliable support.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, Eatr takes these concerns seriously. Downloaded from official sources like the App Store and Google Play, the app ensures that users can trust its legitimacy. During registration, I was required to provide minimal personal data, which included my name and dietary preferences, but not sensitive information like financial details. I appreciated this approach, as it made me feel safe.
Moreover, the app is transparent about its tracking behavior. While it does use some tracking to personalize the experience and serve ads, I noticed that users can opt-out of targeted ads. This level of control is crucial for me as an American user, who often prioritizes privacy and data security. Overall, my experience with Eatr has been positive in terms of security and privacy, making it a comfortable choice for health-conscious individuals.

Edit - it has now completely stopped even logging food. Total waste of money. I like that it seemed to incorporate working out into my calorie allotment, although there's nowhere to enter workout info. I thought it would track macros but it doesn't. Would like it a lot better if it did. It has the list of it but doesn't track it with food entries. Ok but not worth the money if it can't even do that so I won't be renewing.

This sounds great, in theory. The issue is misinformation about calories and nutritional info of the recipes, AND the recipe suggestions for the meal plans. I selected KETO meal plan and my recipe suggestions included pasta, bread, and other high carbohydrate recipes. Ehen you select exclusions in the filter options, they don't work. Pasta and rice were still showing up in the recipes suggested for Keto recipes, despite my excluding those specific items. I do not trust the calorie counts.

recommend being VERY careful when purchasing this app using their "not sure yet" discount as that option does give you any trail period...and I'm out that $$$ for an app that cannot create meal plans. I went through all the wizards immediately after purchase, and when I asked to create meals plans, it said no plans were available based on exclusion selection. I excluded Lamb, Kale and green peppers from their very limited exclusion list. And manually logging meals is a nightmare! BEWARE!!

The meal plans don't make sense. the ingredients don't either. It says it is US measure, but it lists the ingredients in oz, instead of cups, and spoons. So you have to convert every recipe to follow it. I don't know how many tablespoons 1 1/8 oz of salt is. The AI doesn't capture your meals accurately. So you have to go in and manually do each meal. The AI is always different from the package information.

There was supposed to be a 7-day free trial, but they billed me for the 3 month plan, even though it stated I would not be billed yet. The dates in the meal plan are off by one day, and the meal ideas are the same ones you can find in any other app. This app is not unique, over-priced, and not worth it.
