Features & Highlights
Real Experience Using eBay: The shopping marketplace
Application Scenarios
As someone who loves both shopping and selling, eBay has become a staple in my daily routine. I often use the app during my lunch breaks to browse for deals on items I’m interested in, like rare books or vintage vinyl records. Last week, I found an original pressing of an album I’ve been searching for—something I never expected to come across!
In addition to shopping, I frequently sell items I no longer need. Just last weekend, I cleared out my closet and decided to list some clothes. I snapped a few photos, wrote up descriptions, and within minutes, I had my items listed for sale. The streamlined listing process made it easy for me to declutter while potentially making some extra cash on the side.
User Experience
The eBay app is designed with user experience in mind. From the moment I opened it, I was greeted by a visually appealing dashboard featuring personalized recommendations based on my previous searches. The search function is powerful and efficient, allowing me to filter results by price, condition, and location, which is incredibly helpful when I'm on the lookout for specific items.
One of my favorite features is the "Watch List." I often add items that catch my eye, and I appreciate receiving notifications when they go on sale or when bidding is about to end. The app runs smoothly on my device, with fast loading times and minimal glitches, making my shopping experience enjoyable and hassle-free.
Pricing
eBay is well-known for its competitive prices, which often beat traditional retail outlets. While browsing, I can easily find discounted items, especially when I opt for used goods. The bidding feature also allows me to set my own price limit, making it accessible for every budget. Plus, eBay’s seller fees are reasonable, which encourages more sellers to list their goods, ultimately benefiting buyers like myself.
Updates & Support
eBay regularly updates its app, introducing new features and enhancing existing ones based on user feedback. I appreciate how they actively improve the platform; for example, recent updates have streamlined the checkout process, making it faster and more user-friendly. If I ever run into issues, eBay’s customer support is readily available through the app, offering chat support and extensive FAQs that address common concerns.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using online platforms, and eBay does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring I can download it from reliable sources. During registration, eBay requires essential personal data like my name, address, and payment information, which is standard for any marketplace app.
While using the app, I noticed some targeted ads, which is common, but I appreciate that eBay gives users options to customize their ad preferences. I feel confident knowing that my personal and financial data is protected with encryption and that eBay has a well-established policy for handling user information. Overall, I find eBay to be a secure platform for both shopping and selling, providing peace of mind as I enjoy all that it has to offer.

eBay used to show when a Best Offer was accepted with a crossed-out price and ‘Best offer accepted,’ making it easy to see real sale prices. Now it only shows ‘or Best Offer’ with no confirmation or final price. This change makes it harder to gauge value and feels like a step backward. I’d much rather see the actual accepted prices again.

Please let me report scalpers because these scalpers are REALLY getting out of hand!! I reported an item for manipulating search results, listing with the wrong item condition (i.e listed as "pre-owned" but the title and desc. say "for Parts&Repair") got an email saying the AI didn't find anything despite that the item name in the same email said "PARTS ONLY". yes, it's in all caps in the item name. How did this go over the AI's head?! Stop giving me tiny shipping labels!!

garbage app that constantly crashes and never shows the whole page. every time it updates it gets worse. I'm waiting for the rest of whatever purchases I made to arrive,(IF they arrive...),and then I'm done with ebay. it was a good ride for the first decade or so but I'm tired of being ripped off. buyer protection is 100% meaningless. none of my friends are having trouble with the other big platform so I guess I'll give those guys a shot. at least I know I'll receive what I pay for...

Overall good experience. Only issue is, I have money available from selling items and the app will not allow me to send the money to myself. I was able to do it before on the current card. I tried adding a card and even my bank account, that does absolutely nothing. I got emails saying the banking and card info updated, but not when I go to send the money to those accounts. Now they're just holding my money.

it's OK. not nearly as useful as desktop site. when selling, lots of options just don't show up. I get daily notifications for deals but when I actually sell items I don't find out until I get a late notice to ship my item saying the item sold weeks prior. buying items on the app is simple and easy, not so much selling. and finding previous conversations with sellers and buyers on here is like a corn maze nearly impossible to find. reviewing because im tired of ebay asking me to rate the app
