4.3 Features & Highlights
Great Weather stands out in a crowded field of weather apps, offering an array of features that not only inform but also enhance the way we interact with weather data. Here are some of its core features:
Real Experience Using Great Weather
Application Scenarios
As someone who enjoys outdoor activities, I often find myself in need of reliable weather information. One morning, I planned a hiking trip with friends in the nearby mountains. Before heading out, I opened the Great Weather app to check the forecast. Not only did it provide me with the current temperature, but it also showed the likelihood of rain that afternoon. The interactive radar map indicated that a storm was brewing several miles away. Thanks to this insight, we decided to postpone our hike and opted for a coffee date instead. Later that day, the storm did hit, and I felt grateful for the timely information.
User Experience
Upon opening Great Weather, I was immediately greeted by a clean, user-friendly interface that made navigation a breeze. The layout is intuitive; you can easily swipe between different views of forecasts, alerts, and radar maps. I appreciate the seamless workflow from checking the current weather to viewing detailed forecasts. The app performs smoothly without any lag, even while accessing the radar features. I also love the visual appeal of the weather icons and backgrounds that change according to the current weather conditions. Overall, using Great Weather feels like having a personal meteorologist at my fingertips, making my daily planning much simpler.
Pricing
Great Weather offers a free version with essential features, which I found adequate for basic use. However, for those who want to unlock additional features such as advanced radar views and ad-free experience, there is a premium subscription available at a reasonable monthly fee. I think the premium version is worth it for anyone who relies heavily on weather information for outdoor planning.
Updates & Support
The app is regularly updated, with each new version showing noticeable improvements in performance and new features based on user feedback. I encountered a minor issue with the widget not refreshing, but when I reached out to customer support, they responded promptly and resolved the issue within a few hours. Overall, I am impressed with their commitment to user satisfaction.
Security & Privacy Review
As a user, I take security and privacy very seriously, especially with apps that require personal data. Great Weather is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets official store regulations. During the registration process, I was required to provide my location but was not asked for sensitive personal data, which I greatly appreciate.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, Great Weather does display ads in its free version; however, they are not intrusive and do not significantly detract from the user experience. Importantly, the app's privacy policy clearly outlines how data is collected and used, giving me peace of mind as I trust them to handle my information responsibly. Overall, I feel secure using Great Weather, knowing that my privacy is respected while enjoying its features.

Not sure what's going on. Had an weather app installed on my android phone that was great. Then it told me it was an old version and needed update. Once I clicked on it, it took me to Google that made me install this:( What load of rubbish. It is slow to load up. It doesn't tell me what gusts the wind will reach and I can't click on individual days to see what the weather is doing, unlike my old weather app. I'll wait for a reply, but I will probably delete it in the next day or two.

WAS A REALLY GOOD APP. use to be really good. had a map and multiple filters that u could use for free. since the uodate where they cjanged there name and seemed to have a merger with another company its just aboslute trash. no map, contant ads, UI is more difficult to navigate. go with another at this point. im not alone in this either as before the update this was THE highest rate weather app in the store and now it barely makes the top 20

the new update sucks. they removed a ton of features, even if you set it to use inches it's still telling me rain in millimeters. constant non stop ads now, and took away alot of the data including radar. deleting app, I've used for over 10 years

liked my previous app I had for weather before could download different locations with ease and and never had problems give me back that app.

very confusing, just finding your towns. Better if you can find weather for home and holiday. Never managed
