3.7 Features & Highlights
Trail Treker is packed with features that cater to outdoor enthusiasts, making it a go-to app for hiking, trail running, and exploring nature. Here are some of its standout features:
Real Experience Using Trail Treker
Application Scenarios
My first encounter with Trail Treker was during a spontaneous weekend getaway to a nearby mountain range. I had heard about some breathtaking trails but was unsure where to start. After downloading the app, I quickly searched for trails in the area and was amazed at the variety available. I selected a challenging trail that promised stunning views, and the app guided me right to the trailhead. Another memorable experience was when I joined a group hike organized through the app. The ability to connect with fellow hikers and share our experiences in real-time made the journey more enjoyable.
User Experience
Upon opening Trail Treker, I was greeted by a clean and intuitive interface that made navigation a breeze. The onboarding process was straightforward, allowing me to dive into the app's features almost immediately. I particularly appreciated the seamless workflow from selecting a trail to tracking my hike. The performance was impressive; the app loaded maps quickly and maintained a stable GPS connection even in remote areas. The feedback options and ability to share photos and tips made me feel part of a larger community. Overall, using Trail Treker was a delightful experience that enhanced my outdoor adventures.
Pricing
Trail Treker operates on a freemium model, providing users with a robust set of features at no cost. However, for those looking for an ad-free experience and additional premium features, a subscription option is available. The prices are reasonable and well worth the investment, especially for avid hikers who will benefit from the enhanced features. I found the free version sufficient for casual use, but the premium upgrade definitely adds value for serious outdoor enthusiasts.
Updates & Support
The developers of Trail Treker are proactive about updates, frequently rolling out enhancements and bug fixes. I noticed a recent update that improved the map detail and added new trails based on user feedback. The support system is also commendable; I had a minor issue with syncing my data, and the customer service team responded promptly and effectively. This level of support gives users confidence in the app's reliability and ongoing development.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, I am particularly mindful of security and privacy when using apps, and Trail Treker addresses these concerns well. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it is accessible and regularly updated. Registration requires basic information, which is typical for many apps, but I appreciate that Trail Treker allows for some features to be used without creating an account.
Regarding personal data, the app does not request unnecessary permissions, which makes me feel secure about my information. There are no intrusive ads or tracking behaviors that compromise user privacy, allowing me to enjoy the app without the fear of my data being sold or mishandled. Overall, Trail Treker prioritizes user security, making it a trustworthy companion for my hiking adventures.

I have used this app for quite a few years. This season it's behaving wierd. It doesn't save my tracks of where I have gone. It just draws a straight line between a few points. It also was way off on the distance ridden and other stats. My average speed was not 3.5 mph and my distance was less than half of the actual distance. I have the latest version according to the play store.

Rather disappointed with the app seeing I had to pay quite a bit extra to get a picture of the map that I already own. (I could have taken that picture myself.) Would have thought that paying 4 times the amount of the paper version that the maps they would have been GPS mapping of the actual trails not just a picture of the map I already own.....

I really like this app. There were a couple of spots where I road the trails and it didn't follow the map very close but only for a short distance. I ride in Polk, Pierce and Dunn county and wish they had maps for them.

Oconto county in wisconsin is not an option to pick from this is a huge area in wisconsin not to have on the your selection which it doesnt tell you until you purchase the app also you have to perchase the app and every map there after

This app sucks. I spent money last year and they had no maps for my area, so I bought a map for near my friends place and now i still can't use this set of maps which makes this app useless and a waste of money
