3.9 Features & Highlights
If you're a fan of puzzles and pop culture, the PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles app is a delightful addition to your daily routine. Here are some of its standout features that make it a must-have:
Real Experience Using PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles
Application Scenarios
PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles has become a staple in my daily routine. I typically use the app during my commute, where I have a few minutes to unwind before facing the day. Whether I’m on the train or waiting for an appointment, I can open the app and jump straight into a puzzle. I also find it a great way to bond with friends during our weekend get-togethers; we challenge each other to solve puzzles in real time, turning it into a friendly competition.
User Experience
The user interface of PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles is intuitive and visually appealing. Navigation is seamless, with well-organized categories that make it easy to find puzzles suited to my mood. The vibrant colors and engaging graphics enhance the experience without overwhelming the senses. The workflow is straightforward: I can select a puzzle, get started immediately, and use hints if I get stuck, all without intrusive ads or unnecessary interruptions. After using the app for several weeks, I feel not only more informed about pop culture but also mentally sharper, as the puzzles challenge my brain in a fun way.
Pricing
PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles offers a free version with a generous selection of puzzles. However, if you want to unlock the full experience, including exclusive puzzles and an ad-free environment, you can opt for a premium subscription. The pricing is reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of content available. For puzzle enthusiasts like myself, the subscription is worth every penny.
Updates & Support
The app developers are committed to enhancing the user experience, and it shows in their frequent updates that introduce new puzzles and features. Additionally, the support team is responsive and helpful; I had a minor issue with my account that was resolved within hours. Their dedication to user satisfaction adds a layer of trust, making me feel valued as a user.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, PEOPLE: Pop Culture & Puzzles takes user concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets safety standards. Upon registration, it requires minimal personal data, which is a relief for users wary of sharing too much information. I appreciate that the app does not bombard me with ads, and any tracking behavior is kept to a minimum, focusing instead on enhancing user experience rather than exploiting personal data. Overall, I feel secure using the app, knowing that my information is handled with care.

This app is fun to use when it actually works. Over the last few weeks, I have been unable to log in consistently. I've tried using the app as a guest, uninstalling and reinstalling, trying to use via Google...the list goes on. I've even tried using it on different devices. It either returns me immediately to the login screen or gives me an error message saying to try again later. It worked a few hours ago; now it won't again. Very frustrating.

I would give more stars, because I actually used to enjoy people magazine, but online, it's NOTHING but ADS. you start reading an article and an ad partially covers it. you x out of that to have to scroll through up to 15 ads to get to the next few sentences. and they don't allow anyone to comment or point out a mistake. it's not worth your time and space in your phone. should be called people ads. it's all you see.

Definitely not what you're expecting... There's no articles whatsoever! They only offer a quick, few sentences about something and that is it. I kept scrolling, thinking that maybe I wasn't understanding the app correctly, but I ended up realizing that this app is just way too simple for me. Also, it doesn't offer for me to personalize what I'm interested in. So, if I didn't care to read about Kanye, too bad. He'd still be popping up. 🙄

The content is way too short and useless. I LOVE People and have been a loyal reader for decades. I get all the email newsletters and magazine subscription. But the app so disappointing with a few slides and snippets of content. People, don't follow everyone else with this minimal, social-media type of format! You can get that stuff anywhere. At the very least, mix in some snippets with long-form content -- similar to the magazine's style.

If you want news and have a very short attention span, this is the app for you. For anyone else who reads People for the articles, stick to the website. It's just slides with pictures and snippets, no articles or links to articles. No way to browse categories. No way to customize your homepage other than scrolling and favoriting. Way too basic of an app in 2025 for a top magazine.
