Real Experience Using Blood Sugar Diary for Diabetes
Application Scenarios
In my daily life, I often find myself juggling multiple responsibilities, from work to family commitments. Blood Sugar Diary has become an essential part of my routine. Every morning, after I wake up, I check my blood sugar levels and immediately log them into the app. This simple action helps me gauge how well I managed my diabetes the previous day. During lunch breaks, I also use the app to log my meals, ensuring that I keep track of my carbohydrate intake, which has become second nature. At my doctor’s appointments, I can pull up my historical data and discuss my progress, thanks to the reports I generate from the app.
User Experience
When I first opened Blood Sugar Diary, I was greeted with an intuitive and user-friendly interface. The layout is clean, with easy navigation that makes logging my data a breeze. Each feature flows seamlessly into the next, allowing me to transition from blood sugar logging to meal tracking without any hassle. Performance-wise, the app is responsive and rarely experiences lag, which is crucial during my busy days. Overall, my feelings towards the app are overwhelmingly positive; it feels like a supportive companion in my diabetes management journey, empowering me to take control of my health.
Pricing
Blood Sugar Diary operates on a freemium model, which means I can access many features without paying a dime. However, for those who want an ad-free experience and additional premium features, there is a subscription option available. I've found that the free version offers ample tools to manage my diabetes effectively, but I might consider the premium option in the future as my needs evolve.
Updates & Support
The developers of Blood Sugar Diary are quite proactive with updates, regularly improving the app based on user feedback. I appreciate this commitment to enhancement, as it keeps the app relevant and functional. Additionally, their customer support has been responsive whenever I've had questions or encountered issues, providing reassurance that I can rely on them for assistance.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to health-related apps. Blood Sugar Diary is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which provides a layer of trust as these platforms vet their applications. When I registered, I was only required to input basic personal data, such as my name and email, which is standard practice. I appreciate that the app doesn't ask for sensitive information like my social security number or financial details.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I was relieved to find that Blood Sugar Diary minimizes intrusive ads, which can often be a nuisance in free apps. The app does collect anonymized usage data to improve user experience, but there’s a clear privacy policy explaining how this information is used. Overall, I feel secure using Blood Sugar Diary, knowing my data is protected and that I have control over my personal information.

So... Here I am being told that I'm possibly type II, needing to monitor my levels for a while. Being the inherently lazy person that I am, I opted for finding an app instead of using pen and paper. The higher rated apps all had adds... F#&K ads. They were in the way of everything! My laziness will not tolerate extra clicks to get to my goal of minimum effort. That's when I found this great app. NO ADS! Simple GUI. 10/10 would recommend to a friend (but hope they wouldn't ever need it...)

this app is simple, straightforward and easy to use. my only complaint is that there is no option for testing sugar right after waking up. I currently fast most of the day and eat a meal replacement later in the day. I am prediabetic and trying to lose weight but the only options that help the algorithm determine whether or not the reading is in the right range for your circumstances and time of day. I'd really like to see a few more options and settings that improve the algorithm.

I'm 50/50 on the sync with my Accu-Chek Guide. Meaning I have to manually input my readings sometimes because of a failed sync, but sometimes it syncs perfectly. Still, it a good, easy to use app. Best if all, it's free and one of the few in the play store that doesn't have ads or in- app purchases.

UPDATE: I just had a new issue and support is still the best. Every question I had were answered within minutes, honestly minutes, by a tech named Timur. He even followed up to be sure I was ok. There is nothing better than a great app with fantastic support and this has both! You can't go wrong. My only issue is that I need an app that will calculate my A1C from blood sugar readings and this app doesn't do that. I wish it did because the support is exceptional!

My blood glucose monitor is older and not capable of linking to this app or any other. So, I enter my own readings (it's very easy). The app links to newer monitors so entry is automatic. Glucose readings are automatically (and instantly) recorded on a graph comparing my reading against high and low goals. Helps me stay on target. I can record notes on each individual reading to remind me of what I did to cause a reading to be too high. If you're diabetic or prediabetic get this app now!
