4.7 Features & Highlights
PlushCare: Online Doctor is a revolutionary app that offers a convenient and accessible way to receive medical care from the comfort of your own home. Here are some of its core features that truly stand out:
Real Experience Using PlushCare: Online Doctor
Application Scenarios
As a busy professional, I often find myself juggling work commitments and family responsibilities, which makes scheduling doctor appointments a challenge. When I recently caught a cold that left me feeling miserable, I turned to PlushCare for help. Rather than spending hours in a waiting room, I opened the app, selected an available time slot, and connected with a doctor from my couch. The convenience of being able to discuss my symptoms without stepping out of my home was a game changer.
Additionally, I’ve used PlushCare for my teenage daughter’s anxiety issues. During a particularly stressful exam season, she needed someone to talk to. I was able to book her a session with a therapist who specialized in adolescent mental health, allowing her to express her worries in a safe environment. The ease of use and the speed at which we could access care was truly remarkable.
User Experience
The user interface of PlushCare is clean and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a dashboard that clearly displayed my upcoming appointments and options to book new ones. The workflow from scheduling an appointment to the actual consultation was smooth. I appreciated how the app sent reminders before my appointments, reducing the chances of forgetting.
During my video consultations, the connection was stable, and I could see and hear the doctor clearly without any technical hiccups. Their professionalism, combined with the app's user-friendly design, made for an overall positive experience. I felt comfortable discussing my health concerns, and the follow-up instructions were well-explained.
Pricing
PlushCare operates on a subscription-based model, costing around $89 per visit, which is a fraction of what an in-person visit might cost, especially without insurance. They also offer membership plans that can save users money if frequent consultations are anticipated. I found this pricing to be reasonable considering the convenience and quality of care provided. Knowing I can access a doctor without the exorbitant costs associated with traditional office visits is a significant advantage.
Updates & Support
The support team at PlushCare is responsive and informative. I had a query regarding my prescription refills, and their customer service reached out promptly via chat, providing clear guidance. The app itself is updated regularly to improve functionality and user experience. I appreciate that they actively seek feedback and incorporate changes based on user suggestions, which shows their commitment to customer satisfaction.
Security & Privacy Review
As a user concerned about security and privacy, I was pleased to learn that PlushCare is available through both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring a level of credibility and security. During the registration process, the app asked for basic personal information, including my name, email, and insurance details, which is standard for telehealth services.
I was also reassured to find that PlushCare has strict privacy policies in place, compliant with HIPAA regulations. There are no intrusive ads or tracking behaviors within the app, which means my health information remains confidential. Knowing that my data is secure allows me to use the app without worry, making my health journey more comfortable and private.

It takes some time to find a clinician with whom you connect, just like any in person practice, but once you do, the convenience of quick scheduling and being able to speak with your doctor as needed (within reason) is worth it. You can do lab work, etc in a local lab then discuss with your doctor. The app is sometimes a little glitchy, but overall I've been happy with it.

The service itself is excellent, but they need to drastically overhaul their marketing... every time I book an appointment (not just think, actually book) I get two days of emails and notifications asking whether I am still looking for a doctor. A shame I had to disable all emails and notifications, especially when I really wouldn't have bothered otherwise.

Update: Lowered my review from 5 to 2 stars due to prolonged issues making appts in the app. I can't make an appt later than same day, else it shows 0 available times. Website works perfectly fine. Service is still good. Original: In my area, getting in to see a doctor can take up to 2 months. With Plush, I was able to schedule something same-day, within 2 hours. With an established primary care physician, I can still get an appointment in within the week. Great service, and pricing isn't bad.

Very long response times. It says 1-2 days but it's usually 3-4 days. Having to pay an extra 14$ a month for the "convenience of the app" and receiving slow care isn't adding up. Also when I call I never get anyone over the phone because it's forever on hold. So really you're paying $14 for the convenience of rescheduleing appointments and always seeing available Drs.

This use to be my go to app for Health care and prescription refills, but recently their prices went WAY up. $150 a Vist and $14.99 a month "subscription"- just to book an appointment without having to call- it's absolutely crazy expensive. Most other online services are around $50 (which is what I used to pay for plushcare). The doctors on here are constantly leaving too. You just get to know one, and they are gone. So keep that in mind before you book an appointment.
